She is the sole heir to Jiangnan’s Misty Rain Tower. Twenty years ago, Shen Ruyan was unrivaled in the martial world, wielding her family’s Frostglint Ancient Sword, the hidden-weapon technique known as “Moonlit Night over the Twenty-Four Bridges,” and the lightness skill “Among Water and Clouds.” But one night, twelve masked experts attacked and slaughtered her family. She watched her parents die in a hall drenched in blood. She survived, but lived like a shadow. Rumor has it that the Misty Rain Tower’s secret manual is hidden in a painting called Misty Rain over Jiangnan. Countless people have searched for it, unaware that Shen Ruyan had the image tattooed on her back long ago. She travels the martial world not for revenge: she cannot remember the faces of a single one of the killers. She only wants to know the truth: who ordered the Misty Rain Tower erased from the world, and why?
