The Sect's Disposable Pawn Escapes: I Reclaim Spirit Fields and Lead the Whole Village in Cultivation

Yunlan Sect treats its low-ranking servants as spiritual-energy fodder, draining their cultivation to nourish the inner sect's geniuses. Every three months, the ten servants at the bottom are selected to have their souls extracted and refined.

Li Mai spends three years painstakingly mastering spirit-plant cultivation. When he falls short of the spiritual energy he must hand over for the third month, he's about to become medicinal dregs, so he flees overnight to his mortal hometown, Back Mountain Village.

After a spiteful fellow villager spreads rumors and ostracizes him, Li Mai breaks through by saving people with his uniquely improved spirit herbs. He creates a method of spiritual breathing that mortals can cultivate and opens up vast tracts of spirit fields.

A spirit-gathering formation protects the village, spirit herbs dominate the market, and every villager begins drawing spiritual energy into their body.

But the snitch alerts the sect, whose cultivators launch a raid overnight. The protective formation shatters, and powerful enemies surround the village.

Li Mai triggers a resonance across the spirit fields, awakening the earth's spiritual energy with the power of the entire crop, then leads over a hundred villagers armed with farming tools to face the immortal sect head-on!

Once a resource exploited by the sect, now he leads an entire village of mortals to forge an immortal path that does not rely on stealing spiritual energy!
