The Defiant Son of the Ming Dynasty

A modern college student transmigrates into five-year-old Chongzhen and turns the tables from the start!

The Eastern Palace's side hall is packed with a bunch of crazies, who somehow turn the Ming court into the ultimate gang stronghold.

The Carpenter Emperor, brainwashed by comics, gives up milk and woodworking, picks up a blade, and takes charge. He no longer loves carpentry, only bloodshed, and sets his sights on ruling the underworld;

Wei Zhongxian, the all-powerful eunuch who once dominated the court, abandons his old path and transforms into Brother Shanji, determined to become the toughest enforcer around;

The dignified empress Zhang Yan hides a rebellious streak beneath her angelic demeanor, becoming a ruthless figure whom the emperor both loves and fears, and whom no one at court dares to provoke;

Madam Ke escapes the cutthroat competition of the inner palace to start a business, building a nationwide chain of inns and mastering the Ming commercial scene;

Sun Chengzong, tutor to generations of emperors, casts aside the dignity of a great scholar and becomes a carefree old rascal who values his beard more than his life;

And then there are Iron Fist Wang Cheng'en, Youngest Chick Fang Zhenghua, Old Sun Sun Chuanting, Mallet Xiong Tingbi, and a host of other ministers and mighty generals.

Talented people from past and present, along with powerful figures at court, are all won over one by one through the most outrageous antics of this eccentric bunch from the Eastern Palace!

The famous Palace Relocation Incident? One dose of rhubarb medicine puts an immediate end to it, and the whole crisis vanishes without a trace.

From then on, the rules of the Ming Dynasty are completely rewritten:

Factional strife at court is downgraded to gang warfare, and imperial checks and balances become a matter of recruiting underlings. All those lofty imperial stratagems are replaced by straightforward rules of the underworld!

The Donglin, Zhejiang, Chu, and Qi factions can fight among themselves, but every faction in the land is loyal to the emperor!

A modern illustrated album of beauties in traditional Han clothing accidentally sparks the Carpenter Emperor's obsession with collecting them all.

Once collecting the beauties of the realm becomes part of daily life, conquering foreign nations and crushing the barbarians are just little things he does along the way.

And so, a world-defying power known as the Jiaojian Sect rises.

At home, it keeps all the court officials in line, earning both love and resentment; abroad, it crushes the barbarians on every frontier, terrifying the nations around it.
