On his first day as Xu Damao's brother, what he encountered was not a welcome ceremony but a domestic violence scene.
The cheap brother was grabbing Lou Xiao'e's hair and banging it against the corner of the cabinet. The whole yard was surrounded by "good old people" on three floors outside - no one reached out. The old man brought the teapot to "cough warning", Qin Huairu pulled Silly Zhu back and hid, unable to hide the smile at the corner of his mouth.
I slapped Xu Damao's ear with my backhand and slapped the sterilized single on the table: "Stop it, you've been sterilized."
The whole hospital was so quiet that you could hear ants farting.
The system is activated, and you go to work during the day to do business--Silly Zhu carries private goods? Deduct meat tickets. Lao Jia is a foreigner? Clean the toilet as a penalty. The food stamps that were revealed were transferred to the old Sun family who had been paralyzed in the hospital for three years. The "moral models" did not lift a finger.
At night, under the lamplight, I accompanied Lou Xiao'e to sort out the account books one by one. Xu Damao hadn't taken any real money from home in three years, and he drank and smoked it all. "This apartment is your dowry, and this bankbook is given to you by the Lou family. It has nothing to do with him." I pushed the divorce agreement, "You are Lou Xiao'e. You were able to get into a technical secondary school back then, and now you can live your life back."
Later, Xu Damao filled the alley and played "Old Xu's family has a heir", which made the whole hospital laugh and suffer from internal injuries. He did not know that the sterilization order was genuine, nor did he know that his wife had led a roomful of neighbors to sign a letter of complaint.
On the day the letter was delivered, the uncle couldn't hold the teapot anymore: "Dajun, are you going to let your brother..."
"Let him be a sensible person." I slapped the stack of food stamp receipts from Lao Sun's family on the table. "If you guys had understood earlier, it wouldn't be my turn."
Xu Damao was still dreaming about his son, but Lou Xiao'e had already received the divorce receipt from the street office.
