(The spring breeze has long cherished the flowers. Let me be young, and young again!!!!!)
In 2018, the once-mighty Ji Team overpowered the LCK and claimed the League of Legends World Championship.
In 2019, as Ji Team prepared to defend its title, top laner Jiang Cheng retired after an accident. From then on, the LPL plunged into its darkest hour.
At S10, S11, and S12, the Demon King Lee Sang-hyeok claimed three consecutive championships, becoming a six-time champion in an unprecedented feat.
By then, Jiang Cheng had changed his name to Jiang Hai. With his left hand ruined, he had lost all desire to return to esports, until the League of Legends Legend System gave him hope.
When he returned to the professional scene, Ji Team, his former team, had fallen into the Nirvana Group. It could barely hope to reach Worlds and was even at risk of plummeting straight into the LDL and becoming a secondary-league team!
Faced with four rookies staring at one another in dismay, Jiang Hai unhesitatingly took up the standard. He didn’t care whether they were in Nirvana or Summit: now that he had chosen to return, he would defeat every opponent.
A team built around its top laner burst onto the scene!
Nirvana, Summit, Worlds.
Jiang Hai led the team through three successive leaps, finally ending Lee Sang-hyeok’s reign at Worlds.
But his greater goal was to complete the legendary Golden Road!
(Jiang Hai will play mid for a short while at the beginning, mainly to climb the rankings quickly and set up later plot points. After the City Championship, he’ll return to top lane. The story is incredibly satisfying, so enjoy it. I’m just going to let my imagination run wild!)
