If martial arts were a spine, Chen Gu would be living at its very bottom, on the tailbone: the most wretched place in the world.
Born a mine slave, he can’t even master Bone-Melting, and his fellow disciples trample him underfoot.
Then, deep in an abandoned mine, he finds a bone disc.
The bone disc absorbs bone and blood to earn bone points. Spend points, and he can break through.
Can’t beat the Shattered Bone Fist? Add points! Max out a round, and shatter bones with one punch.
His senior brother is the legitimate heir of a noble clan? Add points! Cross an entire major realm and smash his bone armor to pieces.
The Bloodbane Cult has the city under siege? Add points! The Bone Clan patriarch, at the peak of Meridian Opening, takes one punch through the chest.
Chen Gu thinks that’s all there is to it.
Until a line of text appears on the bone disc:
“There’s still Vertebra City ahead. Above it lies Skull City. Buried beneath Skull City is an undying giant skeleton. Your bone disc is one of its teeth.”
From then on, Chen Gu has only one goal:
To kill his way from the tailbone to the skull.
To make the entire spine remember the weight of his fists.
