The Blood Moon Shines on Chang’an

Li Cheng is a vampire who has lived for more than three hundred years. He was once an ordinary Taoist practitioner at the end of the Tang dynasty, but a chance encounter turned him into a vampire. Ever since, he has wandered between the world of the living and the netherworld, witnessing the rise and fall of countless dynasties and the joys and sorrows of humankind. An incident brings Li Cheng to Taiyuan, where he meets Prince Jin, Li Keyong, and his son, Shi Jingtang. The land is in chaos: Liang and Jin vie for supremacy, the Khitan rise, and war rages across the Central Plains. Li Cheng wants to stay out of it, but a legendary “Dragon Vein Map” draws him into a conspiracy centuries in the making. A secret organization called the Night Pursuit Bureau, led by the mysterious Taoist Li Chunfeng, seeks to “reshape the Mandate of Heaven” by altering the world's dragon veins, and will sacrifice countless innocent lives to do so.
