Calamity of the Yin Bones, Debt to the Dragon King

My mother was a college student who had been kidnapped. On my eighteenth birthday, she gave me a necklace that could bite. From then on, I was cursed, spreading misfortune to everyone around me wherever I went. To stay alive, I sought help from the Dragon King, who was sealed beneath a well. The day the Dragon King broke free, our village was hit by a flood the likes of which hadn’t been seen in a century. I caused a huge disaster and was drawn into a conspiracy that had been unfolding for a hundred years. A strange mountain village, a kidnapped woman with a mysterious past, and a vicious master-and-disciple pair from Miaojiang. The truth about my origins, which I thought I knew so clearly, became an intractable mystery. To survive, I was forced to form an alliance with the Dragon King. He couldn’t stand me, and I couldn’t stand him. After embarking on a path defying heaven, I decided to focus on my ambitions and take down everyone who wanted to take me down. But then a Miaojiang boy started batting his eyelashes at me, a wealthy young genius showered me with concern, a stunning merfolk gazed at me longingly, and a shy little Daoist asked me out. Why has even that dragon started looking at me differently? Proud White Dragon: Why? I was here first. Miaojiang Boy: By rights, I was clearly the first one. Young Master Genius: I believe I’m the one whose qualities make me the best match for Lanlan. Stunning Merfolk: She loves the original partner most. Anyone she doesn’t love is just a third wheel. Little Daoist: You bunch of wicked heretics! I’ll deal with you all first, then be with Lanlan.
