This isn’t a book that teaches you how to get rich overnight. It’s a book that teaches you how not to go broke.
Chen Mo is 22, a graduate of a second-tier university, earning 5,500 yuan a month. He takes 5,000 yuan in starting capital and plunges into the futures market. On the first day, he makes 1,200 yuan and thinks he’s a genius. By the third week, his account is wiped out, and he stands on the balcony of his rented apartment until dawn.
He starts from scratch, with no one to guide him. He studies a thousand candlestick charts, loses 30,000 yuan of his own money, takes out online loans, and gets debt collectors showing up at his workplace. At his lowest point, he squats outside a convenience store eating instant noodles, and even a homeless man comes over to ask, “Brother, you got nowhere to go too?”
Then he meets Old Li, a veteran futures trader who’s been losing money for twenty years. Old Li says one thing that changes his life: “Young man, don’t rush to make money. First learn how not to lose it.”
Every chapter of this book is packed with practical know-how: how to calculate margin, why stop-loss orders are so hard to follow, which instruments to choose for high-frequency day trading, how to spot end-of-day sweeps, and the complete rules for a moving-average reversion strategy. Chen Mo’s trading journal is laid bare before you: the reasons behind every loss, the point where his mindset collapsed each time, and every mistake that looks unbelievably stupid in hindsight. He holds nothing back.
This isn’t a novel. It’s a hard-won guide forged by a futures novice with real money and plenty of tears. If you’re about to open an account, or you’ve already lost so much you’re questioning your life, read this book first. It can save you far more than 50,000 yuan.
Page 1780: "The total profit and loss this year has increased from 150,000 yuan at the beginning of the year to 410,000 yuan now, with a net increase of 260,000 yuan. It is not based on one or two huge profits - it is based on the superposition of more than 40 medium and small profits. The largest single profit does not exceed 3,000 yuan, and the largest single loss does not exceed 1,500 yuan. The profit-loss ratio has always remained above three to one. The proportion of Class B losses has been reduced to 4%." How do you calculate this data? Can more than 40 profits of no more than 3,000 be calculated to 260,000?
I don't understand why the score is so low. It's a very good practical novel, with delicate psychological analysis, real investment details, and emotional descriptions that exceed expectations. If you read it carefully, you will gain more than just trading strategies. The characters are full of characters, and the emotions are touching. Maybe not many people can calm down and read it. It is reasonable to be high-spirited and low-key.
I saw my own shadow in the novel. It turns out that discipline and records are so powerful! I learned it, thank you to the author🙏🏻, it is so well written, it gives psychological comfort to people like me who are still doing futures at work.
I just finished reading Chapter 34. There are several mistakes that I often make but can't find a reason to correct them. After reading this book, I have a feeling that it is like this. I don't know what happens next. So far, this book looks good, but the characters are a little confused. But it doesn't matter. What I need is diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Are Brother Zhao who has a lot of things in the workplace and this embarrassed Brother Zhao the same person?
A very professional book. The description of the mental journey is very brilliant. It's rare to see a messy relationship between men and women that doesn't work together. The rating shouldn't be so low.
Very helpful for futures trading, a rare book that can improve knowledge, 5-star recommendation
Life and futures are in progress in an orderly manner, unlike other textbook-level procedures.
Very good, helpful to friends who are engaged in futures trading
The writing is very true. When trading, you have to wait for the opportunity before making a move.
Very good, keep reading
