Kept Lover Scandal: The Tycoon Gets Tangled Up with a Rugged Man

[Possessive, Brooding Shanghai Powerhouse × Hot-Blooded, Loyal, Rugged Northeast China Alpha]

Xu Zhiyan, a 36-year-old head of a Shanghai venture capital firm worth tens of billions, is refined and distinguished in every way. Long trapped by other people’s constraints, he no longer dares to give anyone his heart. All he wants is a steady companion in exchange for fair compensation.

To escape the constant attempts to control him, he travels to Northeast China and pays handsomely to find a dependable companion.

Lu Ye is a 21-year-old young man from Northeast China with no one to rely on. Standing 1.92 meters tall and powerfully built, he is passionate and straightforward, with an all-consuming stubbornness buried deep inside.

Xu Zhiyan holds a cigar between his fingers and gently lifts Lu Ye’s chin. “Stay by my side, and I can give you whatever you want.”

At first, Xu Zhiyan sees it as nothing more than a mutually beneficial arrangement. He is distant and exacting, always prepared to walk away.

But he never imagined that the person he found wouldn’t be a meek, obedient attendant, but a lone wolf whose heart and eyes held only him.

When Xu Zhiyan attends a business banquet to entertain clients, Lu Ye stops him with red-rimmed eyes and grips his wrist so tightly he won’t let go. “You said you’d only ever give me your attention.”

When Xu Zhiyan’s old illness flares up and his stomach hurts unbearably, Lu Ye braves a raging blizzard and travels dozens of miles, carefully protecting a bowl of warm porridge in his arms. With red-rimmed eyes and no idea what to do, he says, “Please don’t hurt anymore. I’m here with you.”

When the people who once held Xu Zhiyan captive come looking for him, intent on controlling him again, Lu Ye, usually so gentle and reserved, stands in the doorway and shields the man behind him with fearless resolve.

“Anyone who dares lay a finger on him will have to get past me.”

Xu Zhiyan gazes at Lu Ye’s tall, broad-shouldered back, and the heart frozen for thirty-six years finally begins to thaw.
