He is solitary by nature and loves peace and quiet, the most untouchable flower in their circle. Chen Xi was only taken back in by the Chen family eight years ago, and has suffered constant bullying ever since. But he notices that the only person the entire Chen family obeys is Xie Jihuai, who is staying at their house. Driven by spite and a desire for protection, Chen Xi acts on his cruel impulses and clings to Xie Jihuai. To his surprise, he really does end up on top of the heir. He thought the two of them were cut from the same cloth, but after falling deeper and deeper into it, he forgets why he started. They tacitly become secret lovers, neither of them letting feelings get involved. Until the Xie family discovers their shameless affair, where sex comes before love. Chen Xi is pinned humiliatingly in the snow and, right in front of Xie Jihuai, admits aloud: “I just wanted to destroy him.” Chen Xi takes all the blame upon himself, protecting Xie Jihuai’s reputation, then leaves without hesitation and vanishes without a trace. Eight years later, they meet again. By then, the once arrogant heir of the Xie family has long lost the cool aloofness he once had. He stares fixedly at the soft, sweet child beside Chen Xi, his voice so hoarse it almost breaks. “Chen Xi, you hid from me for eight years, and now you even have a child?” Chen Xi has nowhere left to run, but the man forcefully pulls him into his arms. The god who once stood high above the world has ultimately fallen from his pedestal for Chen Xi, consumed by obsession and asking only for him to turn back.
