Shen Yan opens his eyes and finds himself reborn as the unlucky illegitimate son of the Deputy Minister of Revenue in the Great Yong Dynasty.
A warehouse catches fire, destroying the disaster relief ledgers. Framed as the scapegoat, he is thrown into the Ministry of Justice prison and sentenced to execution at noon tomorrow. But inside this seemingly frail young man's body lives a modern soul who knows explosives, negotiation, and accounting.
Starting with a wrongful arson case, Shen Yan is drawn into missing disaster relief funds and grain, factional power struggles at court, a suspicious case involving the former crown prince, and a mutiny among the frontier troops. He only wanted to be an idle man who could coast through life, but people keep forcing him to investigate cases, save lives, and unravel their schemes.
The emperor wants him to get things done, powerful ministers want him to keep quiet, the former crown prince's faction wants him involved, and the frontier army wants him to take a stand.
Shen Yan just wants to say: I'm free, but you'd better not give me a reason not to be.
The plot is compact and the logic is clear, scoring 9 or above
Recently I found one of the few new articles that I could read, and I only read chapter 32. After seeing what happened to the hero's mother, I felt that the hero was not from the Shen family. . . I hope it won't end badly, there's another pitfall, and there's another book in the list of articles I'm following [awkward laugh]
After reading the previous part, I think the male protagonist's words are very interesting. I like the male protagonist's character and want to know if there will be an emotional line.
It's quite interesting and the writing suits my taste.
The pace is fast, there is no nonsense, the language is humorous, and the logic is strict. I hope that the rest of it will be just as good. It seems like I never have to sleep [covers my face] This plot is too tight
Good-looking, novel and compact 👍👍👍
The language is humorous and engaging. The protagonist is observant, logical, intelligent, bold and careful. A mystery novel worth reading, highly recommended!
It feels good to see it now, at least it has been a long time since I could read a book.
Good to listen to, good to read, good book
A good book, with a tight pace and moderate poisonous points. I bet you don't have bullets in your gun. Ancient version.
