Cheng Wan, a doomsday hoarder, transmigrates into a book as the most despised villainess in the Beast World. On her wedding night, her five beast husbands look at her as if she’s already dead.
Cheng Wan immediately asks for a divorce, only to be told that divorces in the Beast World require a 30-day cooling-off period. The couple must also form a team and enter the war-zone forest to hunt star beasts and collect enough beast cores to break their bond.
Cheng Wan: Fine. I’ll make a fortune before I run.
Who could have guessed that the little cabbages she casually planted in the forest could restore a beastman’s powers? Overnight, her five villainous husbands, who had wanted to kill her, begin fighting over a few tomato plants.
Feng Jin, the Gale Leopard: The chives tonight are mine. Anyone who tries to take them can answer to me.
Shuo Feng, the Snow Wolf: Don’t touch the strawberries Cheng Wan saved for me.
Lei Bao, the Giant Ape: I’ll trade you three level-five beast cores for one watermelon. Deal?
Cheng Wan watches the men who once treated her like dirt fight until they’re bloody over her little plot of land, and quietly withdraws her divorce application.
Later, the interstellar star-beast exchange posts an enormous bounty: “Seeking Cheng Wan’s spirit-spring vegetables. One tomato for one starship.”
Meanwhile, her five beast husbands are fighting in the yard for the fifty-seventh time over who gets to help her water and fertilize the garden tonight.
[Bonus Scene]
Cheng Wan: “I left the divorce papers on the table.”
All five husbands drop to their knees in unison: “We were wrong, honey! The garden can’t do without you!”
Cheng Wan: “...I meant it’s time to pay the taxes.”
The five husbands: “Already paid! We used beast cores!”
