From the Start, I’m a Dad, and My Father-in-Law Is Qin Shi Huang

Su Ze was reborn. He'd just been getting ready to enjoy his life as a wealthy tycoon when a dainty little girl in ancient costume fell from the sky, wrapped both arms around his leg, and called him “Daddy”!

Even more unbelievable, the adorable child was the youngest daughter and most beloved child of Qin Shi Huang, and the jade pendant she carried had transformed into a “sky screen” connecting to the world of the Qin Dynasty!

And so, a round-the-clock livestream of modern life began in the skies above Xianyang Palace.

At first, when he saw his daughter calling a thief her father, the First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, flew into a rage: “What demon are you? How dare you abduct my precious daughter! I'll exterminate your entire clan!”

But the more he watched, the more the Qin Dynasty's worldview went completely off the rails.

When Su Ze made braised pork and fried chicken for little Nuannuan, the officials all swallowed hungrily and cried out that it was food fit for immortals.

When Su Ze took his daughter on a high-speed train to experience “Chinese speed,” the First Emperor was so stunned he could barely speak: “This is a steel dragon from the heavens! This is what the realm of immortals must truly be like!”

When Su Ze taught his daughter about the globe and hybrid rice, the veteran Qin generals' eyes turned red: “Your Majesty, we are willing to conquer the whole world for Qin! We beg the immortal to grant us seeds!”

On one side is Su Ze's easygoing modern life raising a child. On the other is the Qin court, driven into a frenzy of competition by modern technology, food, and infrastructure.

Su Ze: “I swear, at first I really just wanted to be a laid-back dad who kept to himself...”
