Tragic romance! Heartbreaking! Absolutely devastating!
Ensemble cast, but no central group of protagonists. Almost all the characters are morally gray, falling in love (and killing each other) in turn.
Four stories, four couples, all with tragic endings!
A gifted young nobleman from an aristocratic family × a merchant's son from another land, chasing his dream
A childhood friend and senior fellow disciple who dotes on him × a pure-hearted junior fellow disciple as bright as the moon
A reserved strategist with a cruel fate × an optimistic, outgoing general who's suffered terribly
A pure-hearted hostage prince born in the wrong era × a scheming crown prince with no morals
