In Hiding for Ten Years, I Began Cleaning Up the Underworld After Saving a Police Chief

Lu Jing was a low-ranking beat cop who just wanted to clock out on time every day and coast through life.

His daily duties involved helping old ladies find their cats and mediating petty neighborhood disputes.

That is, until one day, the new and icy police chief, Yan Rushuang, was targeted for assassination by five ruthless thugs on the street.

As tragedy loomed, Lu Jing, passing by with soy milk and fried dough sticks, sighed.

The next second, all five assailants went flying, their bones broken and tendons torn!

The whole crowd fell silent at the sight of the top-tier assassins sprawled on the ground, groaning.

Still shaken, the police chief stared at him in a daze. “You call this an ordinary beat cop?”

As one classified file after another was unsealed, a vast criminal empire lurking beneath Linhai City came to light.

And the crime bosses who had lorded over the underworld in terror realized that the god of death who had crawled out of hellfire ten years ago wasn’t dead after all. He had even put on a police uniform...

Lu Jing: “My name is Lu Jing, and I’m an ordinary beat cop. My rules are the rules of Linhai City!”
