Valorant: I'm the Meme God at EDG

Valorant / VCT, EDG, a troll persona, god-tier utility, breaking the “only good domestically” curse, no female lead, pure passion, packed with memes, and a breakneck pace.

Lin Ye, a college loser who stayed up watching matches and died suddenly, opens his eyes reborn in 2026 as a benchwarmer for EDG’s Valorant division.

S1Mon has just left, and EDG is caught in the “only good domestically” curse: nine-time champions in the CN region, yet eliminated at the Masters three years running and knocked out in the quarterfinals at Worlds every year. The whole internet mocks them as “bullies at home.”

The veterans are losing form, the rookies can’t fill their shoes, management is fighting among itself, and the fans are in despair.

No one knows that this “troll,” who sits at the very end of the bench and jokes around with his teammates every day, has memories of the next three years’ game updates, along with an inborn gift for FPS games.

Pre-aiming for headshots is instinct. His grasp of utility is ahead of the current meta, and his game sense is practically like seeing through walls.

From the bench to the starting lineup, from the CN region to the world stage, from “Farewell to Cambridge Again” to a five-kill spree on Lotus, Lin Ye takes EDG back to the top of the world with a rifle in one hand and a backpack full of utility in the other.

“Other people play to win. I play to make the other team watch the replay after the match and question their lives.”

“If I, Lin Ye, had not been born, the utility game in CN Valorant would be an endless night!”
