Just after midnight, a claim ticket slipped out of the convenience store’s cash register
[Lost item: Jiang Jin]
The next second, his employee ID, salary, chat history, and security footage all vanished. Another “Jiang Jin” walked into the store and took over his life.
To get himself back, Jiang Jin broke into a lost-and-found office that opens only at midnight. A girl forgotten by her entire class, a group chat that keeps retracting names, the 404 line that leads to the wrong life, and a black umbrella hiding a collective secret are all waiting to be claimed.
But with every person he saves, he drifts further from his own past. Until he discovers that returning what was lost isn’t necessarily redemption, and forgetting isn’t always evil. The real danger is someone making one answer the fate of everyone.
As the entire city begins deleting people who have nowhere to belong, Jiang Jin must decide: should he reclaim a complete life that no longer belongs to the present, or leave the faintest yet most resolute proof for himself and everyone who cannot speak
I existed.
