Lu Yuan is an orphan who was just called “useless” and dumped by his ex-girlfriend. The next moment, the goddess of business, Su Qingcheng, hands him a contract and makes him her temporary husband.
Faced with this “marriage for mutual benefit,” Lu Yuan plans to keep a low profile as a “full-time husband,” sign the papers, and be done with it.
But the instant his pen touches the page
“Ding! God-Tier Sign-In System activated!”
“Congratulations, Host! Sign-in successful at the civil affairs bureau. Identity acquired: [Satan], Dark Emperor of the Underworld!”
What the heck? I was just getting married. How did I become the big boss of the world's criminal underworld?
From then on, Su Qingcheng notices strange people showing up around her so-called “useless” husband. Overseas warlords weep and beg to shine his shoes, financial tycoons set up his photo and kowtow to it every day, and even heavily armed “mercenaries” come to work as security guards in their apartment complex.
When a business rival uses underworld forces to kidnap her, a group of men with fearsome demon-head tattoos kneel before Lu Yuan. “Your Majesty, what should we do?”
Lu Yuan puts an arm around the petrified Su Qingcheng and looks completely innocent. “Honey, I'm really just an ordinary guy. Maybe they... mistook me for someone else.”
Su Qingcheng: I don't believe a word you say!
