The Great Tang: Exiled to Lingnan from the Start

Exiled to Lingnan, with death waiting at every turn.

Liu Wu transmigrates into the body of a county deputy in the fourth year of the Zhenguan era, a man condemned to exile. Shackled at the ankles and branded on the neck, he faces the disease-ridden wilderness of Lingnan. The escort officer has orders to kill him on the road, Feng Ang, King of Lingnan, treats exiles like livestock, and an unseen hand in Chang'an is pulling the strings of his fate. But Liu Wu isn't afraid. In his previous life, he was a top criminal investigator. His mind holds the entire history of the Tang dynasty, and he has a karmic eye that can see the emotional traces left behind. He thinks he can turn his fortunes around by solving a few cases, until he encounters an irrigation waterwheel in Lingnan that shouldn't exist in the Zhenguan era. Then a secret letter is placed before him: “Welcome to the second Tang dynasty.” Someone came before him, and that person has already lived in this world for six years.

The board is set, and every piece is in place. Liu Wu has only one choice: stop being a piece and become a player.
