Surviving Horror Movies: I Can See Through Death’s Tricks

I was trapped in a horror-movie town.

Here, everyone draws a character card.

Some are the protagonist, some are cannon fodder, and some are the final girl.

As for me, I’m a horror-movie buff.

My ability is seeing through every deadly trope.

I know that going off alone means death, that tampering with the set means death, and that answering a stranger’s cries for help means death, too.

But once the movie officially begins, every rule becomes real.

The ticket seller’s disappearance marks the start of the story.

The pumpkin’s destruction signals the monster’s arrival.

The announcement over the loudspeaker means the next scenario is beginning.

To survive, you have to play your role well.

But I soon discovered an even more terrifying truth:

In a horror movie, the more you know, the more likely you are to attract attention.
