The Ancients Stumbled Across My Daily Life, and None of Them Could Sit Still

Sky screen + livestream + history + historical speculation

This story focuses more on imagining how history might have unfolded in ancient times. The modern era is simply a source of information.

Lin Zhou, who was up late scrolling through videos, never imagined his account would end up in another timeline. The emperors of Qin, the warlords of the Three Kingdoms, the rulers and ministers of Tang, and the fathers and sons of Ming: a sky screen appeared above seven parallel worlds at once, showing every video he watched. From biangbiang noodles to the gaokao essay, from hybrid corn to high-speed rail timetables, the ancients were all left deep in thought. Lin Zhou had no idea any of this was happening. He'd just swiped past a video and was wondering whether to order takeout.
