Shen Jinghong transmigrates into a badly unfinished cultivation novel, becoming a cannon-fodder master who gets killed off in Chapter 18.
The original character is stunningly beautiful and highly skilled, but has the worst luck imaginable: he can sprain an ankle on a flat road and cough up blood after drinking cold water.
System alert: [Host survival rate: 0.3%. Staying within three meters of the original novel's villain suppresses bad luck!]
He looks at the young Lu Jiuyuan, the future Demon Lord, huddled in a corner, covered in blood and glaring with a sinister gaze.
Without a second thought, Shen Jinghong takes him back to his peak.
“From today on, you're my personal eldest disciple (and part-time lucky charm and bad-luck shield).”
Cultivation? What cultivation? After dying from overwork in his last life, he refuses to get caught up in the rat race. All he wants is to stay alive!
And so, the whole sect watches the aloof Immortal Venerable Shen become an overprotective dad, taking that walking disaster everywhere he goes.
When danger strikes, everyone else draws their swords. Shen Jinghong shoves his disciple forward: “Good disciple, get in front of your master!”
The entire cultivation world waits for the cursed star to kill off his frail master.
But the two not only survive, they lie flat their way through life and make it to the end.
Once the plot is over, Shen Jinghong comfortably fakes his death, planning to retire in a small world.
But a few days later, a cold hand grips his chin. Amid a sea of blood, the Demon Emperor smiles manically:
“Master, were you trying to run away again?”
Shen Jinghong, bound in hardened steel chains, roars furiously: “Lu Jiuyuan! Let me go!”
The Demon Emperor, who had been glaring viciously just moments ago, drops to his knees, clings to his leg, and instantly turns into a sniveling mess:
“I was wrong, Master. As long as you don't leave me, you can keep the key to these chains and lock me up yourself, okay?”
Very very very very beautiful!!!!(^O^)y
The writing is great, the plot is compact, and it's beautiful and enjoyable to watch.
The author is great૮₍◜ෆ◝.₎ა
