Just an Intern, Is It Really So Strange That I Know Some Chinese Medicine?

In the middle of the night, the richest man in the country is struck by a bizarre, fatal illness. His life is slipping away!

The hospital’s top Western medicine experts are helpless. The director, sweating profusely, announces that they should prepare for the worst.

Just as the family is on the verge of collapse, a notification sounds in the mind of Lu Chen, an overlooked intern:

“Ding! The Group of Ancient Chinese Medical Sages has been activated!”

Hua Tuo: “Use my Celestial Green Satchel technique. Cut him open!”

Zhang Zhongjing: “This is a potent poison. Use the Nine-Turn Resurrection Needles at once!”

Under the horrified eyes of the entire department, Lu Chen pushes the lead surgeon aside and pulls out a utility knife and ordinary silver needles. “Move. I’ll do it!”

His hand flashes, the needle falls, and the Grim Reaper retreats! The richest man comes back to life on the spot!

Afterward, the jealous, corrupt hospital director fires Lu Chen for practicing medicine without a license.

Lu Chen sneers, takes off his white coat, and returns to his dilapidated family-run Chinese medicine clinic.

Before long, the world goes mad.

The God of War of Yanjing kowtows every few steps, begging for a marrow cleanse; the world’s leading medical experts line up to sweep the clinic’s doorstep; and the heiress to a billionaire’s fortune willingly lowers herself to do odd jobs for him.

The former director falls to his knees in despair. “Divine Doctor Lu, please come back to the hospital!”

Lu Chen: “Don’t bother. I’m just an intern who got fired. It’s perfectly reasonable for me to know a tiny bit about ancient Chinese medicine, right?”
