One Piece: I'm Working Hard in the Marines

After transmigrating into the world of One Piece, Xia Ming became a new recruit in the Marines.

He had no Devil Fruit, no Conqueror's Haki, and was even less physically fit than the other new recruits.

His teammates mocked him as the weakest of the bunch, and even he wondered if this was all his life would amount to.

Until one day, Garp came to inspect the training camp.

Xia Ming gritted his teeth and kept training until he was completely exhausted.

A voice rang out in his mind:

[Hard Work Pays Off destiny activated]

[Every effort you make will earn you a corresponding reward. The more you push beyond your limits, the greater the reward.]

From that day on, he was no longer lost.

While others trained for one hour, he trained for three.

While others reached their limits, he pushed beyond them.

Years later, someone asked Xia Ming, now a Marine Admiral, what his greatest advantage in life was.

He thought for a moment, then said, "Talent? A Devil Fruit? Neither."

"I just believe that sweat never lies."
