[Sweet Romance | Hilarious | Marriage Before Love | Silly Daily Life | One-on-One, Both Devoted]
Xu Lili is saddled with a huge debt and has struggled at the bottom of society for more than a decade.
Her biological parents suddenly turn up, pay off all her debts, and ask her to marry Shen Yanzhou, the richest man in Sucheng, in place of her younger sister, who ran off with a punk.
She can lie flat in a wealthy family, so she agrees on the spot!
On the day they register their marriage, her billionaire husband Shen Yanzhou tosses her an unlimited black card: “Spend whatever you want. Just don't bother me.”
Then he flies abroad.
With a spending limit of a trillion, Xu Lili is all about frugal living.
A 9.9-yuan Pinduoduo T-shirt, 10-yuan Huang's Cream, a secondhand electric scooter for getting around, and delivery orders only when there's a discount on Pin Hao Fan.
Far overseas, Shen Yanzhou stares at the spending statements, their pages full of single-digit purchases, and falls silent.
After returning home, he personally tries to teach his wife how to splurge, but fails every time.
One day, a rumor spreads that Shen Yanzhou's first love is about to return and the two of them will rekindle their old romance and get back together.
Having saved enough money, Xu Lili is exposed for who she really is, and packs her bags and runs away in the middle of the night.
Shen Yanzhou mobilizes every online resource to hunt for her. When he finally catches her, his eyes brim with resentment and wounded indignation. “You sleep with me and then dump me?”
Xu Lili says, “I'm making room for your first love.”
He pulls her into his arms and confesses in a low voice, “What first love? You're the only canary I have, the one who can't bear to spend money and secretly stashes it away.”
