Lin Yan was an ordinary World of Warcraft player. After fighting nonstop for seventy-two hours, he finally earned his “transmigrate to Azeroth” VIP ticket by dying of exhaustion.
When he woke up, he found himself a troll: green skin, tusks, living in a ramshackle hut in Stranglethorn Vale, without even a decent bow. Other transmigrators started out with dragon-slaying swords; he started from the start with a bowl of herbal soup, and had to call a one-eyed old hunter named Zaka “Master.”
Luckily, Heaven hadn't forgotten him completely. It gave him a “Hunter's Mark” System, which let him steal the skills of powerful monsters after killing them. From then on, Lin Yan embarked on a one-way quest to “milk Azeroth for all it's worth”: today he'd steal a bear's strength, tomorrow a snake's eyesight, the day after a dragon's resistance. Before long, he had armed himself into a walking zoo.
But before he could settle down and develop in peace, he discovered that those lunatics from Twilight's Hammer were already plotting to awaken the Old Gods. So a troll hunter, accompanied by an underage troll (Vol'jin, the future Warchief of the Horde) and a hot-tempered old-timer (young Garrosh), set off on a fantastical journey to “save the world and pick up loot along the way.”
In short, this is the story of a transmigrator who carves out a path through Azeroth by exploiting every opportunity, shooting from the shadows, and using a little Eastern wisdom. It's got passion, comedy, and occasionally a tiny bit of heartache. After all, trolls really are ugly.
First of all, Stranglethorn Vale is in the Eastern Kingdom, and the Barrens is in Kalimdor. To get to the Barrens, you have to cross the ocean. Secondly, Chapter 1 mentioned that the Dark Portal has not yet been opened. There are still ten years left in the first war. When you arrive in Kalimdor, you actually see orcs at the crossroads.
