A tragic romance bound by fate, a Grim Reaper's obsession spanning ten thousand years, revenge across past and present lives, a closed loop of cause and effect between good and evil, and salvation through a soul contract. Two storylines run in parallel: a revenge story in the modern world and an ancient, tragic romance between a god and a human on the Crescent Moon Continent. The story blends urban business rivalries, the realms of the dead and the gods, fated reincarnation, supernatural powers, and mysticism.
Chu Yueheng, the heroine, is the original self reborn through ten lifetimes and an ancient goddess. Mingyuan, the hero, is the Grim Reaper King who rules over life and death and has spent ten thousand years searching for his wife.
Chu Yueheng got a call from her best friend, Bai Wei. I rushed back, thinking Lin Chen had arranged a grand proposal for me. Instead, I was met with a declaration of betrayal. The two of them had conspired against me and tortured me in every way. As I lay dying, a strange force pulled my consciousness to a place called the Netherworld Palace. There I met a man named Mingyuan. At his suggestion, I signed a hundred-year soul-slave contract with him. He gave me the power to take revenge, including the ability to possess inanimate objects... Little did I know, this was all part of another scheme of Mingyuan's.
