Rule Horror: I'm a Security Guard in a Haunted Building

After transmigrating, Zhou Yan became the night-shift security guard at Yong'an Tower.

On his first day at work, he realized something was off about the security manual:

[This building has no thirteenth floor.]

[After midnight, do not answer anyone in the elevator.]

[If you see yourself standing behind you on the surveillance monitor, eat a bear-shaped cookie immediately, then write in the duty log: I am still alive.]

Zhou Yan thought it was a prank.

That is, until midnight, when the elevator stopped on its own at the thirteenth floor.

When the doors opened, his mother, who had been dead for seven years, was standing inside.

“Xiao Yan, Mommy’s been waiting for you for so long.”

Only then did Zhou Yan learn that this building was not meant for the living.

It was a vessel built to contain evil spirits.

And as its security guard, he was responsible for registering, mediating, containing, and suppressing them.

The hanging ghost complains that the neighbor is too noisy. The headless ghost demands facial recognition. The elevator ghost gets stuck on the thirteenth floor every day.

Looking at the increasingly ridiculous resident registration forms, Zhou Yan quietly opens a pack of bear-shaped cookies:

The living have to register to enter the building.

So do the dead.
