The protagonist (a modern soul that travels into Lu Bu's body) wakes up in Chang'an in the third year of Emperor Chuping's reign (AD 192), which happens to be the time when Wang Yun devised a serial plan and Lu Bu had just killed Dong Zhuo. In the original history, Lu Bu was subsequently defeated by Li Jue and Guo Si and escaped from Chang'an; but in this rebirth, the protagonist decided to use the information gap and modern manipulation to rewrite his destiny.
