Seven people, seven stars, seven states.
An Eastern Zhou jade tablet carved with the image of the Big Dipper sends seven souls from the modern era into the Seven Warring States. Qin Ji, a PhD in history, opens his eyes wearing a reddish-brown prison uniform on the border between Qin and Chu. No System, no golden finger, and none of the original owner’s memories. He has only one thing to rely on: six years of studying the history of the Warring States.
He impersonates a member of Qin’s Bai clan, claiming to be a nephew of Bai Qi, the Lord Wu’an. He uses The Book of Lord Shang to stay the blades of Qin soldiers, wins their trust with fragments of Strategies of the Warring States, and uses legal statutes from the Qin bamboo slips found at Shuihudi to carve out a path through desperate circumstances. This identity is a lifeline, but also a sword hanging over his head. King Zhaoxiang already suspects Bai Qi, and the Bai clan name could turn from a protective charm into a death warrant at any moment.
The other six have landed in Chu, Qi, Zhao, Yan, Wei, and Han. The star marks on their palms are the only way they can recognize one another. As the flames of war engulf the seven states and the Battle of Changping looms, their fates will intersect on the same chessboard.
This is a transmigration story with no cheats. All they can rely on is knowledge, courage, and the instinct to survive amid lies.
