The female protagonist is transformed into a cannon fodder substitute who is doomed to die early in the escape novel. The female protagonist does not rely on the original male protagonist, but uses the "space" golden finger and modern knowledge (such as business methods) to become independent and establish a truly equal and mutually fulfilling relationship with another more powerful male character.
