Synopsis

Zhang Ren is a self-proclaimed Taoist priest with an absurdly inflated ego. He usually hangs around the woods, conning people.

One day, while conning someone as usual, he runs into a vengeful ghost. He decides to avoid it for now, but the angrier he gets on the way home, the more he thinks: Hah! A mere vengeful ghost is nothing. Watch me hit it with a left hook, then a right...

From the start, I fall straight into a paranormal realm. What the heck? No matter, I'm a Taoist priest. Open up, and let me turn the whole situation around!

I'm Zhang Ren. Ren, as in “endure.” I'm a Taoist priest. The paranormal descends, and rule-based horror takes over. People ask me, “Brother Zhang, how come you're not scared?”

Zhang Ren: “I, Zhang Ren, have the same Ren as Zhang Bairen: ‘endure.’”

What Taoist priest is afraid of those flimsy paper ghosts?

Any Stories With a Male Lead Who's a Taoist Priest, Already Powerful from the Start, and Has No Romance?

The male lead should already be powerful in the first chapter. To emphasize this very, very clearly, there must be no romance, and the male lead should be invincible under heaven. Actually, that is all! I have just run out of books lately. 😭😭😭
