Great Ming: Why Is It So Hard to Be a Carefree Slacker?

After transmigrating, Zhu Kai became the younger twin brother of Zhu Biao, the most dependable crown prince in history.

At first, Zhu Kai only wanted Zhu Biao to smoothly succeed Old Zhu, while he himself lived a carefree life as an idle prince.

But gradually, things began to spiral out of control.

First, Zhu Kai became bound to something called the Daily Sign-In System.

Then the Sign-In System started causing all kinds of things to happen to him every day.

Sometimes it gave him superior crop strains that yielded thousands of jin per mu. Other times, it gave him heavy weapons powerful enough to slay anyone who stood in their way, gods and Buddhas included!

Most importantly, none of the things the System gave Zhu Kai were hidden. They were all exposed to Old Zhu.

Looking at the intelligence reports sent back by the Embroidered Uniform Guard, Old Zhu fell silent for a moment.

His second son, who seemed so irreverent, apparently wasn't a complete good-for-nothing.

Quite the contrary...

“My son Zhu Kai has the makings of a great emperor!”

Once Old Zhu accepted this reality, he immediately led his entire family to find Zhu Kai, who was still listening to music in a brothel. They all bowed before him:

“This commoner Zhu Yuanzhang, together with my beloved wife, Lady Ma, my eldest son Zhu Biao, my daughter-in-law Lady Chang, and my eldest grandson Zhu Xiongying, pays respects to Your Majesty Zhu Kai. We humbly ask Your Majesty to ascend the throne at once!”

Zhu Kai: ???

What the hell...

Can someone explain what this means?

Isn't being a carefree prince good enough?
