He was the regent I had hated for eight years.
Golden chains, the slaughter of the royalist army, forcing me to be a puppet: I accepted everything he gave me with a smile.
I was just waiting for the chance to reclaim the throne and ruin him forever.
Until a Northern Di assassin's blade came for him. He lunged in front of me and took the blow on his shoulder.
As the imperial physician cleaned the wound, I saw an old scar on his shoulder blade: the same spot, the same blade, as the night the late emperor died eight years ago.
He had shielded me twice.
And I didn't learn until three years later that he had burned the secret edict ordering my death.
Everyone said the regent wanted to usurp the throne.
Only I knew he had placed the realm in my hands and nailed himself to the pillar of shame as a traitor.
After I took power, my first imperial decree made him Prince Who Shares the Throne.
He knelt before the hall. "I am unworthy."
I swept my vermilion brush across the decree. "I'm giving you half my realm. Do you dare refuse?"
Two powerful leads | Court intrigue | A blend of sweetness and angst | At first, he was the hunter and I was the sparrow. Later, he willingly became my prisoner
After reading the introduction, I thought it was pretty good, but the content was disappointing. There was very little plot and plot, and most of the words were just a bit of talk, and it felt like it was just trying to make up for the word count. As for feelings... Not to mention. But some of the descriptions of scenery and characters are quite good. 🤔🤔🤔
I forgot to give a rating before. This is a pure story about monarchs and ministers, from hatred to understanding to mutual dependence. There is no emotional line.
