Marriage first, love later / Older man / Sweet, pampering romance
A spoiled, hard-to-please heiress × a serious-looking surgeon
Jian Ni follows her family’s arrangements and reluctantly marries a “middle-aged man” ten years her senior.
She hates her father’s domineering ways, and she also hates Shen Jinnan’s reason for agreeing to the marriage:
“Sweet and sensible. A good match.”
What a joke. You can’t insult someone like that.
In her twenty-two years, Jian Ni has never been described that way before.
She’s so annoyed that she wants to show him just how sweet and sensible she really is.
So she goes to him reeking of alcohol and deliberately puffs smoke in his face.
She thinks that once his idealized image of her is shattered, he’ll call off the wedding.
Instead, all she gets is: “I don’t mind.”
She pulls out all the stops, but it’s like trying to punch a cotton ball.
After the wedding, her friends tease her for being blinded by his looks.
She doesn’t deny it, only saying that after marrying a stiff, boring old man, she deserves at least this much compensation.
She even kicks him in the chest, speaking with haughty authority: “Shen Jinnan, you’d better take good care of me.”
He grabs her ankle, nods, and looks at her with burning eyes.
Please note:
1. The hero is sexually inexperienced. The heroine has had a boyfriend before, but they never had sex.
2. Ten-year age gap, 22 and 32.
Beautiful! I found that I have read another novel by Dada. The writing is really getting better and better. The characters are very delicate and three-dimensional. I like Nini's character and the hero's character. Come on Dada!
It's more like a short story with a clear story, complete characters and foreshadowing. [Note] It's quite interesting.
Very nice. I've read a lot of Goddess's books, but they ended a little too quickly, and I didn't read enough [crying] [crying]
