A young woman is lying in bed talking to a friend on the phone when she suddenly receives a summons to the president’s office at Shangya Group. She quickly freshens up and hurries out.
Shangya Group is world-famous, and its headquarters lobby is bustling with people coming and going. The young woman steps into an elevator and presses the button for the fifteenth floor. Everyone who sees her respectfully steps aside. She smiles wryly, gazing at her reflection in the elevator mirror, puzzled over why she was suddenly called in.
She is Li Jiaran, Shangya Group’s heir apparent. She used to be lively and outgoing, but after suffering a serious illness and losing her memories, she became withdrawn and solitary. Sun Xiaying is her only friend.
When the elevator reaches the fifteenth floor, Jiaran finds no secretary outside the office, so she knocks directly on the door.
Hearing a reply, she pushes the door open. A stack of documents comes flying at her, but she quickly dodges, and the papers scatter across the floor.
“So you called me here just to use me as target practice?” Jiaran says coldly.
Her mother is seated in the president’s chair. Used to Jiaran’s attitude, she gets straight to the point.
“Do you think you can keep what happened last time a secret?”
Jiaran’s heart tightens. She and Xiaying had already cleaned up the mess they caused, but she never expected her mother to find out anyway. Her mother is president of Shangya Group, and her father is its chairman.
Jiaran sighs. “Since you already know, what do you want?”
Her mother looks at her and says slowly, “You and Xiaying, dressed as men, went to Korea…”
