Nan Xing, a modern obstetrician and gynecologist, took a nap while on duty and woke up as an abandoned woman who went south to find a husband in the 1950s. On the way, she was tricked into lying in the same bed with the officer Zhou Chen.
After Nan Xing joins the army, he discovers that living next door is a Madonna-type heroine who is moved to tears in The Holy Virgin's Documents. In the eyes of the military family, Nan Xing was a beautiful, squeamish, selfish and lazy person. However, instead of being divorced, she was favored by the tough military officer. I have read the author's other completed article "Marriage in My Era" before. Shuyu is a hard-working and tenacious woman who traveled to the post-liberation era and lived a positive and good life in an era of scarcity of materials.
Nanxing in this book feels much luckier than Shuyu. She also traveled to the 1950s. Nanxing has space and meets more good people. The beginning is not as difficult as Shuyu, and Lao Zhou is more proactive than Lao Cheng. Haha, maybe because Lao Zhou was single when we met.
The writing is good, but it's a bit frustrating. Good guys are always the ones being bullied, and since they are good guys, they are less likely to fight back, so they always suffer.
