When mechanical engineer Su Yu wakes up, he finds himself in a courtyard in 1940.
There's no domestic squabbling from the 1960s here, just a pack of little “scoundrels” who haven't grown up yet.
Yi Zhonghai, now in his twenties, is still pouring tea for his master. Silly Zhu and Xu Damao are still squabbling in the alley. Jia Zhangshi has just given birth to Jia Dongxu.
Looking at these future courtyard big shots, Su Yu, backed by the [Military Industry Hegemon System], smiles. “Since I've arrived twenty years early, this courtyard is going to play by my rules!”
While buying supplies in the suburbs of Beijing, Su Yu happens upon an eight-year-old Qin Huairu, so skinny she looks like a bag of bones, and takes her in.
“Date you? No. I'm going to train you to become the Republic's youngest female lathe operator!”
Years later, the story officially begins.
Jia Dongxu goes on a blind date, only to find that his date, Qin Huairu, is wearing a medal for being a “Master Craftsman of the Nation” and has arrived in a military jeep to inspect the steelworks!
Yi Zhonghai tries to guilt-trip him? Sorry, there's an entire military industry commission behind me!
No wasting energy on scoundrels, only building heavy industry for the nation! Watch Su Yu forge an unparalleled patriot in this fiery age!
