Ancient People Compete for Jobs, and My Homestay Goes Viral

[Connecting ancient and modern times + farming + business management + healing + everyone's favorite + slow-paced]

Qin Ge is a corporate drone, working herself to the bone in a big city until she's exhausted in both body and mind.

After unexpectedly awakening an employee-recruitment System, Qin Ge promptly quits her bloodsucking boss.

Complete System tasks, and she can turn a small guesthouse into a grand farm and achieve financial freedom.

The first employee hired by the System is a cleaner: gaunt and dressed in rags, with a habit of peppering her speech with classical phrases.

The second is a carpenter, so skinny he's practically a skeleton, who has never even used a power saw.

The third is a chef who is so stingy with the cooking oil that he doesn't even recognize a rice cooker.

…

What's more, all the employees are embarrassingly chuunibyou, calling Qin Ge their princess.

As Qin Ge questions the System about where it found so many pitiful refugees, she feeds them meat, eggs, and milk to help them regain their strength.

To Qin Ge's surprise, every one of these refugee employees turns out to be a master of their craft.

The cleaner can create traditional hairstyles that have long been lost, and hanfu enthusiasts flock to the guesthouse, making it an overnight sensation.

The female chef can use a clay stove to prepare elaborate imperial dishes, and a master chef from the state banquet insists on coming to study under her.

The carpenter's mortise-and-tenon skills and mother-of-pearl lacquerwork astonish architecture professors at a renowned university…

Qin Ge's guesthouse takes the internet by storm with its long-lost traditional crafts and unique antique charm.

Everyone calls it a sanctuary for the modern soul, a paradise from the past.

A reporter asks Qin Ge: “Why are your employees so loyal to you?”

Qin Ge smiles and answers honestly:

“Because I'm their princess!”
