During the winter solstice to worship ancestors, Wang Weigeng, a young man from the branch, was given a piece of fat stained with ashes. His direct relatives laughed at him as a "bastard", and his mother's eyes turned red in the corridor. He carries six words left by his grandfather in his sleeve: speak slowly and be kind.
From that moment on, he spent his whole life trying to understand these six words.
He passed the county examination, the government examination, became a disciple of Wang Tong, and took up the academy. He had guarded an isolated city and knelt before the powerful; he had rescued his brother, but he was unable to see his best friend for the last time.
Before his death, he left only one sentence to future generations:
"Be a human being."
That old locust tree is still there.
