Only, this villain has temporarily lost his memory.

Qi Ye, a nine-tailed white fox and master of the Demon Sect, is the most unruly troublemaker in the world.

He picked a fight with the Heavenly Dao and not only got beaten back into his original form, but somehow lost his mind in the process.

When he wakes up, he's a hapless fox who can't even catch a rabbit. He stumbles into the grounds of the Jingxin Sect, steals half a pot of porridge and an outer robe.

Then he's caught red-handed.

Immortal Venerable Qingheng, a reclusive powerhouse from the Twenty-Second Heaven, sect leader of Jingxin, and one of the top fighters in the Ninth Heaven, finds it amusing that a fox has stolen his clothes. He takes the stupid fox back to the sect, names him Qi Baibaibai, and keeps him around as a hand-warmer.

Qi Ye thinks: Fine, I'll get a meal out of this for now. Once I take human form, I'll make him pay for this with interest.

Qingheng thinks: Hm, a little fool of a fox who lost his memory after failing to survive his tribulation. He's a bit dim, but has a good nature. I'll keep him around for fun.

And so, the two reach a strange understanding: one pretends to be stupid, while the other really thinks he's stupid.

Before he knows it, Qi Ye has become the Jingxin Sect leader's... pet.

He gets free room and board, a soft bed, hot porridge, and a daily grooming session that leaves him purring.

Life is pretty good.

Until one day, the missing piece in his brain suddenly clicks back into place. He stares at the rival who's smoothing his fur and falls into deep thought.

What should he do?
