I Failed the College Entrance Exam, So I Enrolled at a Paranormal Vocational College

After failing the college entrance exam, Su Xing gets a beating from both parents and, worked up, threatens to jump into a river.

Ding!

The System sets Su Xing up with a school: the Paranormal Vocational and Technical College.

The school doesn't teach math, Chinese, or English. It only teaches ghost-catching, demon-subduing, spirit investigation, and more...

Su Xing complains to the System, “Even with a System, you won't let me go to a proper university? Why a vocational college?”

“Guaranteed to master the skills, guaranteed job placement. No tuition, but we do collect your yang energy! Learn paranormal skills and become a modern-day Zhong Kui. Your career is secure, and a million a year is no dream! Convince people... I mean, encourage them to enroll, and you'll earn rewards!”

Su Xing slaps his thigh. “All right! Just watch me talk them into it!”

When the students of the Paranormal Vocational and Technical College go on break, they all leave campus...

A student from the corpse-driving department gets a call from home: “Son, learning a trade is great. You'll have no trouble finding a job after graduation.”

Wiping sweat from his brow, the student replies, “Dad, I'm kind of busy right now. Did your package arrive? I mailed you a zombie to help with the chores. Leave it a good review, okay?”

A campus beauty from the ghost-catching department livestreams an exploration of a haunted house in an abandoned village. Comments flood the screen: “Aren't you afraid of ghosts, streamer?”

The beauty calmly pulls out a folding, portable peachwood sword. “What's there to be afraid of? Everyone should believe in science! There's a physical explanation behind every paranormal phenomenon, like this thing!”

With that, she stabs the lunging vengeful ghost through with one thrust. “Everyone, hit follow! When I reach ten thousand followers, I'll livestream a solo run through Gonjiam!”

Su Xing nods in satisfaction. “A good 985 university is no worse than the Paranormal Vocational and Technical College. Other schools should have confidence!”
