The Record of Suppressing Demons in the Netherworld

At the dawn of time, the Dao Ancestor carved the Great Xuanhuang World out of the Great Void and planted a twelve-petaled Creation Azure Lotus, from which all life evolved. After merging with the Dao, the Ancestor departed, leaving behind the Celestial Emperor's throne and the Fengshan Immortal Terrace. Whoever received Heaven's mandate would rule the highest heavens and command the world's fortune. Yet the Heavenly Dao was flawed, and every three thousand years the Primordial Demon Calamity arose. Outer demons poured through cracks in the eternal night, seeking to devour all worlds. The ancient Immortal Emperor Xuanyuan built the Wall of Severed Demons on the northern frontier and ordered the eight great clans under his command to guard the realm and fight the demons together.

Countless eras later, the Xuanyuan clan had fallen into decline, and the Immortal Emperor's authority was lost. The eight great clans had become six cultivation dynasties and three sacred lands, forming a world order known as “One Sacred Land, Two Churches, Three Dynasties, Four Sects.” They waged endless wars and schemed against one another for the throne of the Celestial Emperor, treating all living beings like pieces on a board. The Demon Calamity was drawing near, yet the Great Xuanhuang World had no ruler. A catastrophe sweeping across the immortal, mortal, and demonic realms was about to descend.
