The Fox Qin Shi Huang Found: A Nine-Tailed Auspicious Beast?

[Great Qin] [Adorable pet] [Utterly doted on] [Raising a tyrant] [Fiercely protective]

In the twenty-second year of King Zheng of Qin, during his eastern tour, Ying Zheng found a white fox on the verge of death.

On a whim, he brought it back to Xianyang and kept it deep in the palace. The supreme First Emperor of Great Qin now had a little nuisance by his side that did nothing but act cute, make a mess, and shed fur.

But when the white fox rubbed away his irritation, bared its teeth at treacherous officials, and pointed its tail toward the bloodshed on the eve of a crisis…

Ying Zheng gradually realized that this seemingly ordinary pet was actually the legendary auspicious beast, the nine-tailed fox.

As the little fox grew plumper, its tail went from one to two, then from two to nine…

It was no longer merely his beloved pet, but the gentlest guardian Heaven had bestowed upon the First Emperor and the empire that had only just united the land.
