Someone Watered Down My Meng Po Soup

[Childhood sweethearts + love and hate + a saint’s selfish side + a scoundrel’s sincere heart + revenge + nontraditional cultivation]

The heroine, Lin Zhu, accidentally winds up in the underworld. The officials there tell her she can be reincarnated if she works there for sixty years.

So Lin Zhu works for sixty years, then is reborn into a new world.

Here, there are childhood sweethearts, sweet romances, and battles among the women of the inner court.

There are also martial world vendettas, dynastic wars, and conflicts between different races.

There are power struggles among the gods, as well as ordinary families tending their fields and weaving cloth.

The heroine, Lin Zhu, has two personalities whose fates stand in stark contrast. She says, “It’s not that I predict what the future will be. Whatever I predict becomes the future. Fate is in my hands.”

Qing Yu is a brilliant talent, born with the makings of a god. He says, “The gods love all the world, and she is one of its people.”

Yun Hua carries a blood feud and struggles constantly between his feelings and his ideals. He says, “This time, I won’t make the wrong choice.”

Ye Xu wears a thousand faces. He says, “Perhaps. Maybe I really do love you, but I don’t understand it myself.”
