Her beloved jujube tree gets cut down to make a magical artifact, she’s nearly killed after being tricked into cultivating, and one bite of an herb full of spiritual energy gives her food poisoning so bad she lands in the hospital.
Lying in her hospital bed, Ling Shiguang wants to cry but has no tears. “You nearly killed me the first time. Now you’re trying again?”
Ling Shiguang complains about her crazy ancestor every day and regrets ever going soft on her. Her only reason to cultivate is so she’ll be strong enough to beat Yi Yang up.
The powerhouse’s favoritism has been hidden in every little detail. She squeezes rare spiritual fruit into juice and feeds it to her, lowers her cultivation to accompany her on beginner missions, and quietly treasures in her heart the way Ling Shiguang stands up to protect others.
I quite like the setting of modern immortality. Although the world view setting has not been fully developed yet, I don't think the author will just perfunctory it. The two protagonists have complementary personalities. The protagonist is very good at swearing, very funny, and has a good personality. It's really comforting to see a protagonist with normal moral values. Some of the horror plots in the early stage were very good at describing the horror atmosphere. Later, when the protagonist grew up, it gradually turned into a comedy (x is mainly because the protagonist is so funny). However, I would like to ask the author, in chapters 225-227 about Luo Qing's tomb, the plot is obviously incoherent. It feels like a lot of plot is missing, and the viewing experience is a bit poor. I don't know if the author missed it or for some reason. All in all, I highly recommend it. The writing is good, the plot is good, the protagonist has a good personality, and it's just fun to watch.

It's a good book and I really recommend it. I just don't understand why no one reads such a good book. The emotional line between Shiguang and Yang is really delicate and funny. It's the first time I've seen a book that suits my taste [smile]. Personally, I think the emotional line just needs a little progress, but I prefer the plot. The plot is exciting and interesting.
