Dragon Ball: The Path to Mastery

This story follows the original Goku on his path to mastery, carrying on the masterful spirit of the Z era. Under Old Kai's guidance, he develops GT Super Saiyan 4 and sets out on the path to godhood, ultimately becoming the strongest Goku in all dimensions.

This is a Dragon Ball fan fiction set after the defeat of Buu, and includes the storylines of Dragon Ball Daima and Dragon Ball Super. I've discarded the original transformation system, which was rather unclear, and introduced some elements inspired by high-martial-arts worlds. I've completely abandoned the idea that bloodlines determine strength, and want to try creating a true, universe-level martial-arts master in Goku. The ensemble cast may not be a major focus; the story is closer to Goku's solo rise.

I'm thinking that, when Goku first encounters Beerus, the God of Destruction won't be able to destroy things at will. Honestly, I always found the Battle of Gods arc rather frustrating, which is why I decided to write this. There will be a Super Saiyan 4 transformation, but it won't be based on bloodline theory.
