The World Is Changing, and I'm Snatching the Strongest Virus from the Hospital

[Apocalypse + Rebirth + Superpowers + Face-Slapping + No Saintly Protagonist]

A global outbreak of disease swept across the world, killing more than half of humanity.

The survivors, however, mutated because of their illnesses.

Skin disease made patients' skin hard as steel. Tumors spawned multiple tentacles inside their hosts. Asthma patients could spew toxic mists that dissolved flesh and blood.

The more severe the illness, the stronger the mutation.

But if they lost control, these evolved beings became diseased corpses driven by nothing but the urge to feed.

In his previous life, doctor Wei Han was shoved into a tide of corpses after refusing to extract diseased corpse fluids for his teammates.

Reborn one month before the global outbreak, he activated the [Devouring System].

Devour viruses, analyze pathogens, and refine points.

The shop let him exchange points for food, safe houses, armored trucks...

But now, he knew better than anyone.

The strongest diseased corpse in his previous life had originated from a body infected with an old C-17 strain.

So on the night of his rebirth, he went to the hospital morgue...

On the eve of the outbreak, Wei Han sat inside his safe house, looking at the medicine he'd just finished refining. He gave the syringe a light tap.

“Since you want the power of the virus so badly,”

“then I'll let you taste what the strongest pathogen from my previous life is really like.”
