Siheyuan: Awakening the Daoist Legacy from the Start

Chen, an old man who had struggled through a lifetime of hardship, and Chen Ping’an, a Daoist heir who had left the mountain to escape disaster, were drawn together across space by fragments of an ancient Daoist Patriarch’s legacy. Their souls unexpectedly merged into one. In this age when spiritual cultivation had fallen into decline, a pendant unlocked an ancient secret realm, and he officially embarked on the path to immortality. To find his fellow disciples, who had gone down the mountain years ago to save the country and never been heard from again, he eventually made his way to the capital in 1950. He joined Peking Union Medical College Hospital as a physician and instructor, settled in a courtyard house, and uncovered a sinister feng shui formation on the grounds. True to his Daoist principles, he secretly hunted down enemy spies and protected the people, but his exceptional abilities drew the authorities’ attention. At the invitation of fellow Daoists, he helped resolve feng shui hazards across the city. Foreseeing that trouble was on the way, he traveled far to Hong Kong to avoid the coming danger and spread the Dao. Once the dust had settled, he returned to his homeland to rebuild Luoshui Temple and carry on the Daoist tradition passed down for a thousand years.
